Information

The beautiful island of Skopelos is the greenest island in the Aegean. It has mountains and many natural sources and thus, it is a place with enormous biodiversity. A dense pine forest covers a big part of the island which goes all the way to the beach creating landscapes of incomparable charm. On Skopelos you will find many great beaches with white or colorful pebbles and smaller beaches, protected in sheltered bays.

The main town of Skopelos is a picturesque traditional village on the harbor with the castle on the hilltop. A walk through the steep streets will remind you of the villages of Pelion as there are few similarities between the traditional architecture of the two regions. Today the village has been declared preserved and is protected from possible uncontrolled touristic development.

Skopelos has the perfect balance between the cosmopolitanism of Skiathos and the untouched beauty of Alonissos, combining elements from both islands. It is thus an ideal destination for those seeking a holiday in a place with stunning natural beauty and entertainment options. You can swim in the crystal clear waters of the sea, walk along the footpaths crossing the forest to discover picturesque churches and hidden oases, try the local cuisine and the famous Skopelos cheese pie and enjoy the hospitality of the locals in a travel experience that will remain unforgettable.

How to get there:

  • Skopelos is accessible by ferries and speedboats from the port of Agios Konstantinos and Volos. Skopelos has daily connections with the neighboring Alonnisos as well as Kymi few times a week during the summer months. The frequency of the connections varies according to the season.
